black sequins

Ive never been a huge fan of sequins but they're suiting for the right occasion. Ive kinda been into the whole sequin blazer/cardigan look lately. Was close to purchasing a cropped black sequin blazer from free people. I'm happy i didnt cuz knowing me it would probably go unworn. Its amazing how pricey they are to buy them new. Ebay is clearly the place to score a reasonably price one.

So i found these gems in the garage the night before garbage day. Had never seen them before, and they're in almost perfect condition. Turns out my mom bought them about 15 yrs ago and wore them once, and for some reason held on to them [ like mother, like daughter ]. I dont remember 1995 being a good year for fashion but then again i was only 10 and wore nothing but oversized champion crew neck sweatshirts, neon biking shorts and white keds. By the looks of it, everyone is making a heeled work boot. Super happy i didn't have to break the bank for a pair.

TRUTH

this past week.. ive spent a generous amount at 3 different thrift stores. Yes, i am still unemployed but i couldnt help myself. Now that i have all this time on my hands, all i ever want to do is go thrifting. Im starting to truly feel like a regular. The cashiers know my face and are super friendly to me (altho they barely know a word of english). I got some amazing things this past week. Cannot wait to share with you shortly.

black summer

This item was posted in Twitch Vintage's Ebay store. I thought it looked oddly familiar... until i realized i own the same exact dress. I went rummaging through my basement and found it. You can tell their version is hemmed, which it is super cute shorter,
just kinda sucks you lose the black panel on the bottom which i kinda like better.

(even threw in the red belt for copied styling, screw that stupid floppy hat)

Well looks like it went for 20 some odd bucks... i got mine at Red White and Blue for a whopping 3 bucks. NEAT!

much too chilly out right now to wear this as is, tho i was thinking layered over a red and black flannel....hmm.. might be too much but then again i've never cared about over doing it. it'll definitely be a staple piece for spring paired with my new gold studded beige rachel roy ankle boots.

round sunglasses and tassled hair

Although marykate olsen has been one of the biggest fashion icons of the past decade practically.... ive always thought she looked quite silly. chunky stacked heels with two twigs for legs and WAYYYY oversized shirts that swallow her whole- i see one too many starved looking girls on the same path to fashion failure (well in my eyes atleast.. but who the fuck am i?). but one thing i do love about marykate is the way she hides those heroin induced eyes behind adorable vintage sunglasses and has the perfect wavy blonde mane ive been working at for years... with the over bleaching of my hair.. my locks have become more tassled looking with every wash. its wonderful to know i don't have to actually do anything to my hair after the shower anymore.

As for the sunglasses, if anyone really knows me or has been in my room, they have seen the collection of vintage shades. It's a bit of an obsession but a healthy one i'd say. I've never spent more than 12 bucks on a pair of sunglasses and $12 is a huge splurge.
