heres your chance-

If you liked my leopard print oversized sweater (two posts down) but cannot seem to find one of the same look and fit, I found one up for auction on Ebay in the Thriftwares Vintage boutique close enough to my version rather then the Urban version. Seems to look almost exactly like mine except Thriftwares colors are a little bolder. Mine is more muted. It's going for only $9.99 right now with a little over 3 days left of bidding. Jump on it!

black and orange

i found this striped cardigan on noirohio vintage ebay auction back in october. the colors are pretty suiting during the halloween season. i knew i had a cardigan almost identical to it that i had lent a friend. got it back a while later and here it is, in all its $2 glory. looks as if with one day left of bidding the noirohio version was already going for $50. Something is telling me to hold onto it until fall and then try and sell it. I'd be happy with gettin $15 for it. We'll see what happens.

leopard

my best friend melissa picked up a leopard print sweater from urban outfitters at the beginning of the season. It was a pretty basic animal print sweater but had a nice oversized slouchy fit and look to it. It was $68 and she's an employee so there's a 40% off on top of that so it would come out to about $40 which i suppose is reasonable for a nice warm winter sweater.. Or you could be more like me and scour the thrift stores for a close enough replica for a fraction of even the discounted price. Mine clearly is probably from the early 90's.. some mom probably thought she was so hot in it. i definitely don't make it look sexy but it sure is comfortable. For $3 bucks, who really cares?

never thought id see the day...

Nasty Gal's version of this peekaboo lace strapless dress is ACTUALLY cheaper than metropark's version! Usually nasty gal jacks up their price by like 30% of what the item should cost. My applause goes out to them for the first time in a long time.

I'm slightly obsessed with this native american look. i think its the perfect pattern for accessories. it would be going slightly overboard having navajo printed pants- example- there was a BB dakota jacket sold on NASTYGAL this winter in a similar print that was horrendous. Too much. Ever since i ruined my last navajo printed bag in lousy weather last year ive been on the search for a new affordable one, and knowing me- anything with loud recognizable print, i get tired of pretty fast so i dont wanna spend too much on something i'll be over in a couple months. in my search i saw a couple online. I wasnt IN LOVE with the two i found nor was i impressed with the prices. Over the past weekend i went on a thrifting trip where i came across the perfect navajo patterned bag (pictured below) Perfect size, colors, pattern, everything! i couldn't walk away without it. this bag should take me through at least the end of summer.

Cocoon

while browsing my favorite ebay shops... i cam across practically the same exact cocoon coat being sold about a week apart. Thriftwares auction will go off in a little over a day the coat is currently going for $61 with FREE SHIPPING while Tinroof's auction just went off (a week left) and it remains at $9.99 with not one bid yet but has a $12 shipping fee. This style coat isnt really my thing but its definitely unique and would look great on someone tall and super thin.. just kind of interesting to find the same claimed "one of a kind" peices in two seperate vintage shops the same week and see which one goes for more or less...

dressed like a porcelain doll

When browsing the web for christmas "wants" i discovered this dress by Aryn K. I immediatley fell in love with it. The color, the pleating, the chiffon detailing, the flattering cinched waist line, and of course it's all around vintage inspired appeal. Its the perfect little dress. The only thing i wasnt in love with was the price- $117.. ehhhh. In my opinion a little overpriced for something I KNOW i could find a replica of in a thrift store for ALOT less. A week or so later im browsing ebay and come across a strikingly similar dress. Im always checking "thriftwares" weekly postings of incredible "one of a kind" vintage. Most of thriftwares listings start off at $9.99. It's a popular vintage seller so the prices usually do go up a significant amount. The auction ends tomorrow night and is already up to $40 but thats still a hell of a lot better than $117. I think i'll let this one pass but i sure hope it goes to a good home.
